Where nature is the classroom and adventure is the lesson
Weekly themes
Our program consists of weekly/monthly themes and activities, so your child has something new to anticipate with each week.
Education
Our nature-based preschool education plan focuses on experiential learning, where children engage with the natural world to develop skills, knowledge, and emotional growth.
Why Forest School?
Grow their creative confidence
Outdoor Exploration: Daily outdoor time, regardless of weather, allowing children to explore forests, gardens, or parks. Activities might include observing wildlife, collecting natural materials, or engaging in sensory experiences like feeling different textures or listening to sounds in nature.
Curriculum Integration: Core subjects like math, science, and language are integrated into nature-based activities. For example, counting leaves or rocks, observing plant growth, or storytelling around a firepit. Learning is hands-on and tied to the real world.
Environmental Stewardship: Teaching children about sustainability, conservation, and respect for God's creation. Activities can include recycling projects, learning about animal habitats, and taking care of plants and trees.
Social and Emotional Learning: Outdoor play encourages teamwork, problem-solving, and emotional regulation. Children learn to communicate, share, and collaborate in an open, natural environment.
Creative Play: Nature fosters creativity, where children can build forts, create art with natural materials, or engage in imaginative play that connects with the environment.
